Bío Bío

This region is complex and has three different climates: warm and humid along the coast, a moderate Mediterranean climate inland and cold conditions in the Andes. The region’s good rainfall has led to much experimentation in the type of produce grown here.

In recent years the amount of land under production has tripled. The bulk of fruit is grapes, plus high quality apples and berries.
